T-Minus 20 hours till start

Here’s the t-minus 20 hour countdown update....

1) Race Bibs
Everyone doing the RUN leg of Reach the Beach will need to have a race bib pinned to their shirt. Please make sure you get your race bib from me--individual racers can pin it to the shirt they will run (and perhaps bike in), team runners can get it pinned on well ahead of your biker coming in to the transition area at Terra Nova. I will give you your race bib and safety pins when you see me on Monday morning. All swimmers and bikers will have the bib number written on your arm and calf prior to the start of the race at Watermania.

2) Food
It would be a good idea to have a snack handy during or immediately following your exam. Your exam should be over by 11/11:30am and we will be transporting to Watermania at 12:30pm which doesn’t give much time. It would be good to have some food (energy) in your stomach prior to start and not too close to the start.

3) Route
Make sure you’ve looked over the route and you know where to go. If you are running in to the finish you should not stop until you reach the beach (duh)...you will see the RCS tent— THAT is the finish line. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to bring your bike in top condition and your helmet.

4) Forms
I still need permission forms from Amanda, & Phil (way to LEAD the way in tardiness!! lol). Those need to be in my hand tomorrow morning or you can’t race and your team will not be smiley happy people.

5) Fun
Let’s enjoy ourselves, be safe, and have fun. It looks like the weather is going to be fantastic!! This is a great stress reliever, and the exercise will help you do better on your exams! honest!
